Prior to joining the firm, I bounced around several different career paths in teaching, writing, editing, web design, and even social media, but never felt the combination of fulfillment and security that I could live with. My greatest satisfaction came as a teacher, when I was able to address inequalities in the classroom and help students who were used to being left behind get back ahead. I came to law by pure chance, but quickly discovered that same sense of satisfaction in the pursuit of justice, helping to change the lives of people who were sick or dying, and only because they tried to make a life for themselves and had been taken advantage of.
