These days, we sacrifice a lot for efficiency. Keurig systems brew single servings of hot coffee for consumers in less than a minute, and they have become quit a hit for those “on the go.” Despite the speed, efficiency, and popularity of the product, 6.6 million MINI Plus Brewing Systems have recently been recalled from store shelves due to a burn hazard.
Over two hundred reports of hot liquid escaping from brewers have been reported, with ninety reports of burn-related injuries. The products were produced between 2009 and 2014, and contain the model number K10. Recalled brewers have an identification number starting with “31” followed by a range of numbers printed on a white sticker on the bottom of the brewer.
