Some of the most trusted products on store shelves are cleaning products. But a clean home should not risk your safety. Recently, CR Brands recalled Mean Green Super Strength Cleaner and Degreaser and Mean Green Industrial Strength Cleaner and Degreaser due to a chemical hazard.
The products, which have been widely distributed throughout the country, have labels reading “Does not contain Ammonia,” when they very well might contain the chemical. If ammonia is mixed with bleach or other household chemicals, serious hazards can occur.
The recalled cleaning products came in white plastic spray bottles and white or green plastic containers. The words “Mean Green Super Strength Cleaner & Degreaser” or “Mean Green Industrial Strength Cleaner & Degreaser” are on a label on the front and the UPC number is on the back. The recall involves products with date codes 4225, 4226, 4227, 4228, 4229 and 4230. The date code is printed below the label on the bottle.
Consumers with mislabeled Mean Green products should cease use and return them to the retailer for a replacement. No injuries or accidents have been reported from Mean Green cleaners.
