Patrice A. Doyle
I have been representing injured persons since 2012. I wanted to give you some background about my life, education, what brought me to the practice of law, and my work experience. My mother was a nurse, and my father was a teacher. From an early age, they instilled in us the importance of working hard, having integrity, being helpful, and valuing education. I, along with my two siblings, developed a strong work ethic and drive, at an early age.
My early work experience included planting a vegetable garden and selling my bounty to neighbors, being a babysitter, and cleaning stalls at the local pony farm. I was also in Girl Scouts and 4-H. By 16, I was working at the local mall, focusing on my studies, and preparing for upcoming college years.
After graduating from college, I worked my way up in the insurance industry, specifically in marketing, product development and implementation, and project management. However, I desired to have the ability to affect lives for the better in a more direct manner. I turned my focus towards the law.
What motivated/inspired you to become an attorney?
Before becoming an attorney, I obtained my paralegal studies education at Sonoma State University. I wanted to know all about the law and, specifically, the important role of non-attorneys. Through that experience, pressed on to law school. I worked full-time through my four-years of going to night school at night. Life was rigorous, but I also enjoyed law school tremendously. Upon completing law school, coupled my insurance experience and legal education in a regulatory affairs/compliance position, which I did for some time. However, once again, I found myself looking for a more direct matter to affect lives in a meaningful way. I joined a local law firm as an injury attorney. Immediately, I knew this was where I would settle...helping others in one of their greatest times of strife and need.
What do you enjoy most about the work you do?
Although I meet clients during a time of hardship and adversity, to be able to help navigate the legal system and aid them to a position of moving forward with life again, brings me great satisfaction. I enjoy fighting the fight to bring about justice and holding at-fault individuals and entities accountable. For several years, I represented clients who lost everything due to utility-caused wildfires. I have shed tears with them and for them. While compensation does not bring back family photos and baby books, it does ease rebuilding a home and life in general. My focus now is working with individuals who are ill or, if they have passed, then with their families to be relentless in the fight against entities who knew they were causing sickness and death by valuing the success of their business over the lives of persons innocently exposed to their harmful and deadly products containing asbestos. I am privileged to be able to assist and affect the lives of others each and every day.
What are your hobbies and interests?
Ms. Doyle enjoys spending time with her husband, camping, hiking with her German Shepherd, and riding her horse. She is an avid horsewoman, passionate about equine disaster preparedness and response, and was and continues to be instrumental in evacuating/hauling horses out of wildfires.
