We are happy to be sponsoring the 5th Annual Kayaking 4 Meso event coming up on September 12, 2015. If you or someone you loved has been affected by mesothelioma, this is the perfect event to take part in or donate to.
The first Kayaking 4 Meso event took place in September 2011, and aimed to raise awareness about asbestos-caused mesothelioma and to raise money for research to fight the rare cancer. Mark Wells founded the event after his daughter was diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma.
The 2015 participants will kayak down the Hudson River from Admiral’s Marina in Stillwater, NY, thru Mechanicville and end at the Halfmoon Lighthouse Park in Halfmoon, NY. Everyone is welcome to participate in the event, celebrate at the finish line, or donate to the cause. If you are a mesothelioma survivor and would like to paddle with the kayakers, there is no registration fee.
