July 2, 2014In addition to Brayton Purcell L.L.P. supporting many fine non-profit organizations in Marin County and beyond, many of our employees are dedicated volunteers in these communities. This dedication was recognized recently when our Executive Legal Secretary, Jennifer Harwood, was recognized as the Marin Independent Journal’s Volunteer of the Week!
Jennifer was awarded this title after being nominated by her peers at the Lifehouse Agency in San Rafael: “Jennifer is joy to work with; willing and capable with a delightful sense of humor! She takes initiative and gets the job done,” director of development Angela Abbey said. “This year she increased her commitment to Lifehouse and coordinated all the volunteers for our Great Chefs gala. Jennifer is a treasure.”
In addition to coordinating and volunteering at the Great Chefs and Wineries Event back in April, Jennifer has volunteered at many different levels for many different organizations in the recent past.
Jennifer is on the planning committee for Lifehouse Agency. She is also on the leadership board for the American Lung Association. This year, she formed a team and raised $6,583 for the Association’s “Fight for Air Climb” to the top of the Bank of America building in San Francisco. In 2013, she raised over $4,000 with her team for the “Fight for Air Climb”, worked at the North Bay Children’s Center’s “A Night in Tuscany” event, and formed a team and raised $500 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s “Walk to Cure Diabetes.”
We will keep you updated as Jennifer is continually recognized for her hard work and big heart!
