Karen Perea
As the eldest daughter of hardworking immigrant parents, I’ve been instilled with a deep commitment to serving others, particularly within the Latinx community. Growing up, I actively participated in clubs and organizations dedicating myself to advocating for my Latinx peers. From these experiences, I gained valuable insights and a passion for supporting my community, leading me to pursue higher education in social work and trainings in community outreach and advocacy.
Due to my desire to assist those in need, I was drawn to be a part of Brayton Purcell’s team and the opportunity to raise awareness to immigrants’ rights and access to justice. As an immigrant myself, I understand the importance of ensuring individuals are aware of their rights and options available. In my role, I am grateful to utilize both my personal experiences and formal education to empower our clients and amplify their voices. I find great reward in connecting with clients, listening to their stories, and providing support without language barriers. My personal background allows me to empathize with the difficult situations our clients face, fostering a deeper connection and trust.
