Easy, do-it-yourself home makeovers can be a lot of fun. Switching out a paint color or drawer knob can make a world of difference in a dull room – but what if those new improvements pose danger to you and your family?
Recently, Cost Plus recalled about 251,400 glass bubble knobs because they can pose a laceration hazard to consumers. If broken, sharp glass can be exposed on the knob and cut the user. The glass bubble knobs have been available at Cost Plus World Market and World Market stores nationwide since October of 2010.
So far, five incidents have been reported regarding hand and finger lacerations resulting from broken knobs. Cost Plus has instructed consumers to stop use of the knobs immediately and return them to a Cost Plus World Market or World Market store for a full refund.
